Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy

What do you need to do?

Course Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be requested through our contact form:

Our system does not allow automatic cancellations. Submitting a request does not mean your course is canceled immediately. Once your request is reviewed and processed, you will receive a confirmation email.

Please include the following in your request:

  • Full name
  • Course date
  • Course type (ServSafe or TAP)

ServSafe Courses

  • 24 hours before class → Refund minus $25 administrative fee
  • Less than 24 hours → No refunds

TAP Courses

  • 24 hours before class → Refund minus $10 administrative fee
  • Less than 24 hours → No refunds

Course Transfer Policy

To transfer to a different class date:

  1. Submit a request through our contact form: CONTACT US
  2. Include your name and original class date
  3. Provide the new class date you would like to attend
  4. If required, purchase the transfer fee:

 ServSafe Transfer Fee

Transfers are not automatic. Once your request and any required fee are received, we will process your request and confirm your new class date by email.

Important: Any transfer fee must be purchased at least 24 hours prior to the new class date, or we cannot guarantee placement.

ServSafe Courses

  • 24 hours before class → No fee
  • Less than 24 hours → $25 transfer fee

    TAP Courses

    • 24 hours before class→ No fee
    • Less than 24 hours→ $10 transfer fee

    Missed Class Policy

    If you missed your class, you can still attend a future class by purchasing a transfer fee.

    How it works:

    1. Go to the Product page: https://www.alaskacharr.com/products/
    2. Select the transfer fee applicable for your course. (TAP or ServSafe)
    3. Enter the new class date you want to attend
    4. Complete the payment — must be done at least 24 hours before the new class date.

    Fees:

    • ServSafe: $25
    • TAP: $10

    Time Limit:

    • Transfers can only be requested within 30 days of your original class date
    • After 30 days, your registration expires and a new course must be purchased at full price.

    TAP Renewal (Online Exam) Policy

    This section applies only to TAP Renewal (online exam), not in-person classes.

    To request a cancellation:

    Requests must be submitted before accessing the exam. Once the exam has been accessed, it is considered used.

    Refund Details

    • Approved refunds are subject to a $10 administrative fee

    No refunds or credits will be issued if:

    • The exam has been accessed
    • You are later found ineligible for renewal
    • After 30 days from the original purchase date
