UPDATE: Anchorage TAP Classes
After much consideration and implementation of strict sterilization, personal protection and social distancing guidelines (exceeding CDC recommendations), we have decided to continue with in-person TAP classes in Anchorage. During these unprecedented times, we have updated our registration process and are limiting classes to 14 students.

The Alaska Cabaret, Hotel, Restaurant and Retailers Association (CHARR) is seeking a motivated, friendly, and reliable individual for customer service, clerical front desk, and special project work in a relaxed, professional office environment.
Alaska CHARR is the statewide non-profit member-based trade organization representing Alaska’s hospitality industry including restaurants, bars, hotels, and package stores. Responsibilities As a Receptionist you will be responsible for providing professional, courteous, and exceptional service to all customers. The front desk receptionist plays a key role in maintaining the association reputation and image.
Greet and assist customers who enter the office.
Answer and direct incoming calls and inquires.
Schedule appointments, set up customers for test taking, and intake and track payments.
Inventory and restock office supplies; inform management when supplies need to be ordered.
Assist the other staff with various clerical duties and special projects as directed by the Operations & Marketing Director and/or President & CEO.
An efficient team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
A quick learner who is confident in working independently, asking thoughtful questions, and receiving constructive feedback.
High attention to detail is an absolute must.
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
Resourcefulness and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
History of taking initiative, using excellent judgement, and meeting deadlines.
Previous receptionist experience is a plus, as is consistent use of the Oxford comma.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive pay: $13-$16 per hour DOE

Please join Ketchikan CHARR in their 1st Annual Food Drive! They will be collecting non-perishable, canned, and dry food items November 1-30. All items can be dropped off at The Landing Hotel & Restaurant, Cape Fox Lodge, or Godfather’s Pizza. All donations will be distributed to local families!
