Supporting Alaska’s Future Hospitality Leaders

For 25 years, this tournament has helped fund education and workforce development through the Alaska CHARR Educational Fund.

Since 2001, the Charles H. Selman Scholarship has raised over $790,000 to support students pursuing careers in Alaska’s hospitality industry.

Each year the Educational Fund awards:

• $48,000 in scholarships to Alaskan students pursuing hospitality careers
• $20,000 in support to the ProStart® school-to-career culinary arts program

Your participation helps ensure the next generation of hospitality professionals has access to training, education, and career opportunities.

Alaska’s hospitality industry depends on a strong and well-trained workforce. Programs supported by the Alaska CHARR Educational Fund help students and industry professionals gain the skills, certifications, and education needed to succeed in hospitality careers across the state.
