Anchorage Industry Tax Call
Alaska CHARR partnered with the Municipality of Anchorage Treasury Department for an Anchorage Industry Tax Call on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Our guest speaker was Paula Birmingham with the Treasury Department at the Municipality of Anchorage. Earlier this year, Anchorage voters approved a 5% tax on the sale of alcoholic beverages to begin on February 1, 2021. The first tax return and payment of the alcohol tax will be due by the end of March.  The effective date is quickly approaching, and with that in mind, Paula provided a follow up to her earlier presentation and was available to answer questions.
